With Christians around the world and throughout the centuries, we affirm the Apostles' Creed:

"I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen."

We believe in:

The Holy Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit live as one God in three persons. They live in eternal mutuality. Father, Son and Holy Spirit were present and active in the Creation of the Universe. The Son, in obedience to and cooperation with the Father, became human and became a real and dynamic connection between humanity and Divinity. The Holy Spirit provides the ongoing connection between God and humanity. The Holy Spirit speaks to us through the Scriptures and in prayer. The Holy Spirit empowers the church for ministry. By the work of Christ and the power of the Spirit, believers experience the presence of God and are marked for eternal life.

The Bible: We believe the Bible to be the Word of God. We believe scripture's witness to itself, that, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is suitable for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant fo God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16-17) In other words, we believe that the Bible says what God wants it to say. Therefore, we submit ourselves to God through trust in and obedience to the Bible.

Eternal Life: We believe that humanity was created to live in good relationship with God. However, disobedience to God ushered the humanity and the world into darkness. Perfect fellowship with God was broken and death now marks human existence. On our own, we are incapable of breaking the power of sin and death. But Jesus Christ has broken that power through his perfectly-lived human life, his suffering and death, and his glorious resurrection. He now intercedes for us, having taken the burden of sin and death upon himself. Those who receive the gift of salvation through Him are guaranteed to live forever in God's glorious new heaven and new earth. This will not be "harps and clouds" existence, but a renewed and restored heaven and earth which will be freed of the power of sin and death.
